Rural Primary Education

Redefining, Restructuring Rural Primary Education

Life Global UK has nurtured this programme, sponsoring reconstruction of 30 Primary Schools and aims to scale this noble endeavour in years ahead.

During the presentation event in London, as the inaugural landmark, LGUK raised requisite funds for redevelopment of infrastructure and systems of the Primary school in Patanvav village in Dhoraji district of Gujarat, India. The building foundation was laid in a memorable ceremony on October 29, 2017 presided over by Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji of Annopam Mission.

The project was productively collaborated with Life Education Centre (LEC), instituted in 2000 by Project ‘Life’ with the vision to transform rural primary education; encompassing reconstruction of school buildings into state-of-the art learning facilities with modern amenities to bolster attendance, enrolment and enriched learning experience for village children.

Project ’Life’ has developed 119 schools by March 2026 with a track record of delivering one new school every 75 days since the project inception in 2001 post the devastating earthquake in Gujarat. These schools continue to benefit over 35000 students every year.

Life Global UK's continuing contribution will strengthen the shared mission to promote literacy and community development.

Women Empowerment

Empowering Women, Creating Sustainable Livelihood

Life Global UK has cherished this objective, sponsoring vocational skill training for 2000 women and plans to nourish this honourable cause in times ahead.

With the resolve to sponsor women empowerment, LGUK, on International Women’s Day 2020, raised funds to sponsor training for 400 less fortunate women in productive vocations.

The project was collectively implemented through Life Women Empowerment Centre (LWEC), instituted in 2008 by Project ‘Life’ with the aim to change lives of less privileged women & widows, providing hands on training in vocational skills for sewing, embroidery, catering, beauty parlour practice and computer operations, substantiated with free of cost trade equipment and effective market linkage to facilitate scalable employment.

Besides skill training in chosen vocation, beneficiaries are given supplementary coaching in self-defense, gender equality, banking, budgeting & finance and are mentored with occupation networking, leading them to sustainable livelihood. Exceptional performers are promoted for advance training in professional organizations to enhance their proficiency.

Project ‘Life’ has skill-trained 14,000 women by March 2026.

Life Global UK continues to support the goal to empower 15000 women by end 2026.

Thalassaemia Awareness and Healthcare

Saving Lives, Transforming Healthcare

Life Global UK has embraced this purpose to sponsor Free of Cost blood for un-affording patients in dire need of transfusion and for Thalassaemia patients needing blood regularly to sustain their life.

Where demand outweighs supply and operational costs outbid economic comfort, accessibility to blood for critically ill under resourced patients and those suffering the terminal genetic disorder Thalassaemia remains a grave concern.

Thalassaemia Major is a blood disorder that impairs body’s ability to produce haemoglobin, a protein that transports oxygen from lungs to rest of the body, leading to infection, bone deformities, enlarged spleen, and slower physical growth, calling for frequent blood transfusions. Life of a Thalassaemia Major Child remains short and painful even after supportive treatment with regular blood transfusions which merely sustain their life.

Life Blood Centre, a state-of-the art voluntary blood bank instituted in 1981 by Project ‘Life’, was the first ever blood bank in Saurashtra, Gujarat, engaging scientific approach, advance technology and professional management in collection, testing, storage and deliverance of safe, optimal quality blood to patients in need.

With 12 research papers published in national and international journals, the Centre, spanning 15000 sq ft, organizes nursing training programmes in hospitals and houses Life Thalassaemia Prevention Centre and Life Institute of Health Sciences, offering Post Grad Diploma in Medical Technology (PG-DMLT) in affiliation to Saurashtra University.

The Centre supports 200+ hospitals, is NABH accredited and is recipient of the prestigious ISBT Award for Developing Country 2020 from the International Society of Blood Transfusion, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

By March 2026, the Centre, working 24x7, has organized 6300 blood donation camps and delivered 782,213 units of blood and components, serving 469,328 lives. Thalassaemia Prevention initiative has reached over 1.5 million people imparting knowledge and caution. 720,129 marriageable youth have been tested, vulnerable cases have been counselled and 125 Thalassaemia Major births have been averted.

The Centre serves considerable volume of blood entirely free of cost to un-affording patients and Thalassaemia children needing continual blood transfusions.

Life Global UK aims to actively sponsor Free of Cost Blood and Thalassaemia Prevention & Screening Drives; proactively integrating poverty relief and healthcare domains in service to humankind.
